End Polio Now, polio eradication is possible

END POLIO NOW is the project Rotary established to pursue polio eradication. All donations from our project go to this foundation of Rotary International.

Since 1985, Rotary has raised nearly $ 2 billion in donations. These were supplemented by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation by a further USD 3.6 billion and by the public sector by over USD 7 billion. Although the disease has been reduced by 99.9%, it is important that these efforts continue. 450 million children are still vaccinated every year. At an average cost of 50 cents per vaccination, this causes an annual need of $ 225 million.

Currently problematic today are especially three countries: Afghanistan, Nigeria and Pakistan. To ensure global eradication, the continuation of the polio control program is extremely important.
